Yuzvendra Chahal took out some of his time to support wife Dhanashree Verma, who is the newest wildcard entry in the dance reality show ‘Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa’
With the T20 World Cup scheduled to be held later this year, veeran spinner Yuzvendra Chahal has struggled to get game time of late. After being snubbed of the ODI World Cup squad last year, Chahal was also ignore for the three-match T20I series against Afghanistan. The 33-year-old dropped down in the pecking order over the last few years due to Kuldeep Yadav‘s resurgence and youngster Ravi Bishnoi impressive start to his India career. With Chahal likely to return to action during the Indian Premier League, the player took out some of his time to support wife Dhanashree Verma, who is the newest wildcard entry in the dance reality show ‘Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa’.
Chahal made a special appearance on the dance reality show to catch a glimpse of Dhanashree.
Dhanashree, a famous choreographer, has been touted by many to win the show.
On her participation in ‘Jhalak Dikhla Jaa’, Dhanashree revealed that Chahal was extremely supportive and told her to do her best and make sure that she performs well in the show.
“Yuzvendra is very supportive and unhone kaha mujhe aap jao show karo acche se (he said that you go and perform well on the show). He told me I’m the best and I should do good on the show. We both support each other a lot,” Dhanashree said in the interview with ETimes.
“The competition is quite tough on ‘Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa’. Adrija Sinha is a good dancer and I consider her as my competition. Also, if I see the overall competition, everyone is doing really great and it’s quite tough to pick just one name. Everyone has grown on the show and have come so far in the competition. But I know I’m part of a competition and it first starts with myself and then other contestants,” she added.
Both Chahal and Dhanashree are quite active on social media, and share often share reels on Instagram.
